an Emmy Award-winning TV journalist, public speaker, and doctoral candidate at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
For the past 30 years, I've reported on Local News and Culture & Entertainment in Los Angeles, often surrounded by heartbreaking stories of pain and injustice.
Through it all, I find myself asking: Where is God in all of this?

Ted Chen is an Emmy Award–winning journalist who spent 30 years as a trusted voice at NBC4 Los Angeles, covering the stories that shaped Southern California.
Over three decades, Ted built a reputation for credibility, clarity, and thoughtful storytelling in one of the most influential media markets in the country.
Now, he is bringing that same journalistic excellence to a new arena, an online ministry focused on engagement and sharing of faith-based content counteracting culture where people are the most vulnerable, on social media.
Ted is hopeful that by engaging in conversations focused on forming and strengthening men and women who are seeking transformation in their lives, he can bring hope and peace to where suffering and despair once lived .
With decades of media experience, cultural fluency in Los Angeles, and a heart for discipleship, Ted is uniquely positioned to foster a culturally intelligent and spiritually grounded community.
Ted has been a guest speaker at Vintage Church in Santa Monica, South Bay, Pasadena and Malibu. He has also spoken at other Los Angeles based churches such as Tapestry LA. In addition, for decades, Ted has been a highly requested emcee for a myriad events spanning from award shows to galas. Anyway, he's just getting started...
